Advisory Committee on Fitting and Dispensing Hearing Aids
Created in 2015 following the consolidation of the formerly separate Audiologists and Speech Pathologists Board and Hearing Aid Specialists Board, the Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the full Board to consider and make recommendations specific to hearing aid fitting and dispensing.
The Committee is comprised of no less than 3, and not more than 5 audiologists and hearing aid specialists appointed by the Board for a term of 2 years, in accordance with NAC 637B:
- At least 2 members of the Board: 1 licensed audiologist, and 1 licensed hearing aid specialist; and
- Not more than 3 additional members who are licensed audiologists, licensed hearing aid specialists, or any combination thereof.
