License Reciprocity

Any person seeking to practice in Nevada - OR - treat a person in Nevada must hold a license issued by this Board regardless of the practitioner's state of residence or other licenses held, or patient's state of residence. Some exceptions apply, but please note the following:

  • Licenses from other states are not automatically recognized by this Board and do not allow a practitioner to treat a person in Nevada.
  • Licenses from other states may not be "transferred" to Nevada.
  • Reciprocity is not available for provisional, apprentice, or assistant licenses, or their equivalents.

Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC)

The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC) allows eligible licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists an alternative method for providing services in other member states. The ASLP-IC is only available to applicants who meet criteria for a standard license in speech-language pathology or audiology, and does not include provisional/clinical fellow SLPs or SLP Assistants (SLPAs). If you are interested in learning more, please visit the ASLP-IC website

Nevada passed legislation in 2025 to join the ASLP-IC, but we are not yet operational. Please check back on our ASLP-IC page for updates.

Standard License through Expedited License by Endorsement

An applicant who is eligible for a standard license in speech-language pathology & audiology may request a standard expedited license by endorsement in the online application if they meet ALL of the following criteria:
